Why Do Birds Migrate

Why do birds migrate
Many bird populations migrate long distances along a flyway. The most common pattern involves flying north in the spring to breed in the temperate or Arctic summer and returning in the autumn to wintering grounds in warmer regions to the south.
Why do birds migrate to Africa?
The main reason for migration is conservation of energy. Birds will travel north to take advantage of abundant food and longer days during the breeding season. When the weather gets colder and the days shorten they will migrate to the south in the tropics of Africa.
